"Hi, I'm Travis Corpening, and here we are at Carolina Beach Center, and I'm about to teach you how to do a pump fake jump shot. The first thing you want to do is when when you're actually practicing is you want to have another player with you; throwing you the ball. As they throw you the ball you want to catch the ball right at your chest, catch the ball right at your chest and prepare yourself, your footwork. You want to step with your left foot, finish and follow through with your right, catch it, catch the ball, and then as you as you catch the ball you want the defense to think that you're actually going to com, go ahead and complete the shot. But what you're actually going to do is you're going to catch the ball and bend your knees, and pump; give a strong head fake. Pump just like that, and then get the defense off his, off their feet, and once you get them off their feet they're in the air, and as they're in the air that's when you take off, cause' you know they're going to be coming down while you're on your way up. That's going to give you enough space to complete your shot. As they're coming down you want to rise, and at the crest of your jump shot you want to release, and once you release if you got your jump shot down; if you practiced your jump shot enough, you should be able to complete that shot with no problem. There you have it; pump fake jump shot."
