"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to locate your IP address. What we're going to do first is locate our internal IP address on our network. To do that, let's click on the start button, and right above the start button on the "start search", let's type cmd, as in "command". This brings up our Windows command prompt. Let's type IP config--all one word--IPconfig, and just say "enter". Scroll up until you find an ethernet connection. Mine is wireless, and it says my IP address is 192.168.1.5. That is my internal IP address on this network. To find your computer's address on the worldwide internet, let's open up our web browser, and in the address field we're going to type in: www.WhatIsMyIP.com--all one word--and just say enter. Immediately, WhatIsMyIP.com has returned your external IP address. It's that easy to locate your IP address. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to locate your IP address."
