"HI I'm Gretchen Rivas with Relax to the Max Massage Therapy an we're talking about lavender and the uses for lavender today. Now lavender is good for numerous numerous things. One of the main things it is good for though is burns. If you were to burn yourself on the stove you could take a drop or two of lavender and put it directly onto the burn and it will cut your healing time in half. It is very effective for burns and inflammations, helps with cuts and wounds because it is antiseptic, it is antiviral, it helps if you have a cold or infection or anything going on. It is also good for skin problems, eczema, dermatitis, those types of things, insomnia, it helps you to go to sleep. You can put a drop on your pillowcase before you go to bed and it will help you sleep like a baby. It helps get rid of headaches, it helps children calm down. It helps with soils, acne, boils, ulcers, arthritis, rheumatism, asthma, the list goes on and on. Lavender is just one of those things that is good for about everything. You can put a couple drops of lavender, if you mix lavender with petri oil you can take one drop of that blend, put it in a steaming mug of hot water and steam you face. If you are fighting off a cold it gets right into that sinus cavity and it helps you beat that cold about ten times faster than you would without it so use lavender for all these different things that it is good for."
