"Hi, this is Laura Turner, and today we're going to talk about how to write a thank-you note to your boss. Sometimes bosses need more encouragement than even the people who work for them because they don't have anybody to encourage them because that is their job to encourage their employees, so it's very important for you to be nice to your boss and to tell them when you appreciate what they do for you, especially if they are a good boss. Only if they are a good boss. So if you want to write a thank-you note to your boss, you should probably go ahead and find yourself some nice stationary to write with. A little thank-you note always helps, and go ahead and address it to your boss formally--you know, Dear Mrs. blank. Actually detail a specific reason for why you're writing the note. Tell them what you appreciate about what they've done for you. Have they let you take an extra long vacation? Have they made special amends for you? Have they given you a bonus? Have they done something for you lately that you appreciate? Or have they just been a very upbeat, kind person at work that makes you feel better when you go to work? Even then, it's appropriate to give your boss a thank-you. So go ahead and write that letter to your boss and get it to them as soon as you can because we all need encouragement, and we need it as soon as possible."
