How to Write a Wedding Thank-You Note

"Hi this is Laura Turner and today we are going to talk about how to write wedding thank you notes. Now the most important thing for you to remember when you get all these scores of gifts as you are about to get married is to, as you open the gifts make a spreadsheet or even write it down, but a spreadsheet on your computer will be a lot easier for you to manage. Of the names of the people who gave you the gift, the description of the gift itself and then the address of the people who gave you the gift so that will make it a lot easier for you later when you have to write you know two hundred thank you cards. That you'll have all the information right there ready for you. So you especially not want to forget what gift was sent by which person, it's a very embarrassing thing. Try to get all of your thank you notes written you know as soon as possible after the wedding. Within a month is probably you know traditional and pretty good time frame. So whenever you write your thank you note you should of course write them out yourself in handwriting. Try to be as neat as possible which is very difficult for me and I'm sure for other people. But you should actually address it as a dear, dear aunt Janie for example. And then you should say thank you for this specific item that you received. Thank you so much for the Cuisinart blender. Ok. And then you should actually detail you know sort of why you appreciate the person who gave you the gift. If you don't know them that well say thank you for the blender and every time we use it we will think of you. Because that's what the people who give you the gifts really want you to do anyway. And whenever you sign the letter or the thank you note sign it either sincerely or love based on you know how well you know the person. And just get them out in a timely manner and be honest and sincere for all of the wonderful gifts that you received."
