"So you are having a little bit of problems with your back. Maybe you have a herniated disk a bulged disk or something that just doesn't feel quite right back there. Hi, my name is Dr. Mark Brinson and I am a physical medicine specialist and an international seminary provider. Back pain is kind of a complex issue because it can come from many sources. One of the things that you want to be careful for is if you are experiencing any fever or any pain that is a 7, 8, 9, or 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Extreme pain sometimes equals extreme problems and should be checked out by your physician but if you have something that is a little more chronic in nature there are some self help tips that you can use on your own. One of the major points for pain all over the body is large intestine 4 which is right in the web of the hand and you can just stimulate that with the thumb going towards the palm in a vigorous manner. That is going to help with pain all over the body and it works a little more specifically for the upper body than the lower but it is good. For the lower body anything that you can do or have someone do that is along the spine so about two thumb widths on the right and the left side of the spine you have a channel called the urinary bladder channel which in Eastern medicine actually relates to the whole back and all sorts of low back pain so running in circular motions down the spine in about a one thumb width increment all the way down or all along each side. Now important with this also is a little bit of a stretch routine something where you are keeping the lower back limber and also where you are thinking about strengthening and thinking about maybe elongating both the back and the abdominal area. If you need any extra help make sure that you contact a physician or a therapist or possibly even a personal trainer that specializes in some sort of back or injury rehabilitation. My name is Dr. Mark Brinson wishing you balance in your life."
