"Hi, I'm Ann Myrick, and I'm going to show you how to disinfect and clean a sponge. I have hot soapy water in the sink, so I am rinsing the sponge in the sink with soapy water and then I'm squeezing it out. The only reason I'm using paper towel is just if the sponge leaks water, then the paper towel will catch it. So you put the sponge and the paper towel just on the plate and then I will hit the thirty seconds button and this cleans the sponge and disinfects it. What you want to be sure and do it's when the bell goes off you want to leave it for a few minutes, because it will be very, very hot. So you will not want to pick it up until you're sure that the sponge has cooled off. Other ways that you can clean a sponge are the other detergents you can use is you could use a little bit of vinegar, you could use a little bit of baking soda. I'm Ann Myrick, and that's how you clean your sponge."
