"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we are going to teach your dog how to shake hands using body mechanics. One thing you always notice with dogs is if you lean into them they lean back. If you push them one way they lean into you and push back so using those concepts we are going to teach the dog to shake using balance. Sunday, sit, good sit, always praising whatever it is they do. We are going to pull her off balance in which case I'm going to pull her to her right and her weight is going to shift to her right foot and she is going to stay on balance and her left foot is going to lift. So pull to the right, good shake, shake. As soon as her paw comes off the ground I am going to praise her giving her lots of praise for doing the action that I wanted. Shake, good shake, as soon as the paw comes off of the ground using those body mechanics and her own natural desire to stay in balance we can win. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training."
