"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we are going to talk about how to leash train your dog. The proper chain of commands would be first having the proper collar. You know I always start with the lightest to the heaviest. Some dogs need a prong collar but most dogs don't and what this dog is simulates the bite of the alpha dog. A little tightness simulates us giving her a bite so she inherently understands the language that we are working with which makes it a lot easier. We are not luring her with tricks and treats and that sort of thing. So again leashing the right hand dog on the left side, heel. She doesn't really know heel yet. She walks in front of me and she gets a little correction and then she is behind me again. She is in front of me, behind me. Leash training a dog, behind me. She should always be behind me. So by me turning around every time she gets out in front keeps her behind me. She learns very quickly that her place is behind me. Sit, good sit, good sit. Leash training a dog is easy as long as you are consistent with it. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg from Miami Dog Training."
