"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we are going to talk about how to train an old dog and Tuffie here is nine year sold making her a senior so she is perfect. In training an old dog they all learn the same way, when they are three months old when they have 90% of their brain mass or they are nine years old and they have 100% of their brain mass. At any rate teaching an old dog really works the same way so we are going to praise her for the things we want and disapprove by correcting her for the things we don't want. Tuffie sit, o'kay she sat so she gets lots of praise. Good sit, good sit Tuffie. Down, Tuffie gets lots of praise, down. Sit, she didn't sit so give her a correction and make her sit. How to train an old dog is the same as training any dog. Their learning process works the same. So just be patient, be a little more gentle so give praise and correction.
