"Hi I'm Laura from young writers workshop dot com. I'm going to talk about how to write a memoir. Memoir writing is very personal and yet it's also one of the most exciting processes that, exciting to read for most people. Begin the process of writing your memoir just by free writing. Write, jotting down ideas, what are some of the things that define you that you'd like to share. It doesn't have to be big life experiences, it can be really small moments that you want to illustrate. I think an important part of memoir writing process is journaling. Keeping your notes of things that happen, either on a day to day or writing down experiences that really spoke to you. I think another important step in writing your memoir is to write a first draft that can get you started. Then you can go back add more details in, get, have another person read it and give you feedback on what you've written so far. Those are some really important steps in writing a memoir."
