"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to become a web designer. The first step to becoming a web designer is to sign up for a host. They're going to give you a little bit of space on the internet that you can choose to upload your files and maybe even a website name. Let's go to the computer, after you have your host, and I'm going to show you how to create some web documents. Let's click on the start button, and we're just going to launch Word by going to all programs, Microsoft Office, and Word. I'm going to type a little bit of a text in here, and let's do some formatting on that such as bolding it. Let's do a little more formatting, I'm going to center this text. You would create your webpage in Word with all the information that you wanted to include on it. Once you're done with your webpage, look at the little bar up here, the office button, we're going to go to save as, and on save as type, we want to do is as a webpage. I'm going to put this page on my desktop, I'm just going to call it my page. Now that you have your page created let's get it on the internet. What I'm going to do is connect to my host and we're going to use information that your host would have given you to access your website. We're going to do so by FTP, by clicking on the start bar, opening up computer, and just at the very top here, type FTP and your website. Once again, you're going to need a user name and a password that would be given to you by your web host. These are the files that comprise my website. I'm just going to upload my page, and as you can see, it has been added to my site as my page dot htm. Now let's pull that up in the web browser. You go to your site and then the name of the file that you just uploaded. There is my webpage that I just created in Word. My name is Dave Andrews, and I just showed you how to become a web designer."
