"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to change icons in Windows XP. To begin, let's go to the computer, and I have an icon here for Windows Media Player that I want to change to something else. Note, that I'm not going to be changing the program. It will still launch the same program. I just want to change the icon on my desktop. So, let's right click on it, and go to properties, and then select the change icon button. What will come up by default here, is any icons that are already associated with that program. To change to an icon that is not associated with the program, just click browse, and we're going to select the Windows icon file storage. Let's change the files of type to say libraries. In this list, which is under the C Drive Windows in System 32, we're going to find the document called Shell 32. Select Shell 32 and say open. As you can see, this has opened up Windows default list of icons. We're going to select one. I like this tree and let's say okay and now click apply and close the dialog by pressing okay. As you can see our Windows Media Player icon is now a tree. It's that easy to change icons. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to change icons in Windows XP."
