"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to add a gradient background to a Microsoft Word Document. Let's open up Microsoft Word and add a background. I've opened up Microsoft Word, and this is the default template it comes up with; a simple white background. To add our gradient background, we're going to go to format, background, and we're going to choose fill effects. The very first tab that's selected is gradient. We can either do a gradient with one color or two colors, but to make it interesting, we're going to start with two colors. Select two colors for your background. I'm going to go with a sort of a light green, here to almost a; almost a white blue color. To insert this gradient in the background, just select okay. As you can see, our gradient has been added to the document. We can then type any text that we need to type into the document. It's very easy to add a gradient background.
