"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to transfer files between a desktop and a laptop. What I'm going to use to do this is a little card reader device, but you can also use a small thumb drive if you have one handy. This one is USB just like a thumb drive would be. Simply plug in your USB file connections, into your desktop, and it's going to pop up a removable disk and ask you what you want to do with it. We want to select, and we want to open the folder to view the files. Let's just create a folder to be nice and clean, call it new folder, and let's call it transferred. I'm going to go to the start button in my documents, let's say these are the files that I want to transfer. I'm just going to grab a bunch of them, click and hold my mouse down and drag them into the transferred folder. I just made a copy of my files that's now on my external device. We can close these out now, and unplug our external device from the computer, we're going to come over now to the laptop, and plug it into the USB port on our laptop. Now the laptop too is going to come up with a dialogue that asks us what we want to do with our removable device. I want to select again, and I want to open the folder to view files. And I'm just going to grab this transferred folder that we just created, I'm going to drag it onto my desktop. Hold your mouse down like we did before, and just pull the folder over and let go. It's that easy to transfer files to your laptop My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to transfer files from your desktop PC to your laptop."
