"Hi. My name's Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to sort a table in Microsoft Word. Lets go to the computer. And let's launch Microsoft Word. Go to start, all programs, Microsoft Office and choose Word. Let's create a table with a little bit of data in it. Go to the table menu, select insert table. We're going to do two columns and six rows. Say OK. Lets type in some data. It's best if it's not sorted. Seven four five and our seven again, nine and ninety two and well ninety two, twelve and one. Let's just type some random data in here too. Just to, just so we can show that there's data in this table. Now to sort the table, hold your mouse over the row that you want to sort on until it becomes an arrow pointing downwards. Click on it and highlights just that column. Go to the table field and select sort. Here it's going to ask you also which column you want to sort by. I have column one select. And it wants to ask you if it's number, a text or a date. This one is a number. So lets just press OK. As you can see our table is now sorted off of column one. It's that easy to sort a table. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to sort a table in Microsoft Word."
