"Hi. My name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to use Windows Vista to print through a print server. Many organizations have their printers set up on print servers that are shared out to clients. This way, you can connect multiple people to a single printer and save on paper and hardware. So what I'm going to show you how to do is print through one. Let's go to the client. I'm going to open up, over here, Microsoft Word. And I'm just going to create a very simple document. This is my document. Let's make that a title. Basically, I'm just going to fill this in with some text that you would want to print through your print server. What you have to do to print through the print server, once you're ready to print, is go to the "Start" button, click on "Print", and select the print option. As you can see, the default printer that has come up is HP printer on 192.168.1.53. That indicates, this IP address that's next to the name of the printer, indicates that you're printing through the print server. And that is where that print job is going to go to. So all I have to do, down here at the bottom, is come down and click on "OK". So as you can see, the dialog box disappeared as soon as you clicked "OK". And you can hear the printer starting up. And it's going to print actually through that server to a printer that you're not physically connected to. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to print from Windows Vista through a print server."
