"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to set tabs in a Microsoft Word document. Let's open up Word by going to the start button down at the bottom. Going to all programs. Let's find Microsoft Office. Let's just open up Word. Now what we're going to do is configure what a tab is when you press the tab key to indent your text. What you have to do is go to the view tab on the ribbon, which is at the top of Microsoft Word. It's like ruler. I have it checked, but if it's unchecked, you'll notice that our ruler is missing from above our document. Let's just check that ruler, and that's going to add our ruler. To create tabs, just select where you want your tabs to be, let's say half an inch, and click right there on the ruler. Let's say the next tab is going to be at inch number two. Let's click right there on the ruler, and four, etcetera. Now, the first time I press the tab key, it jumps half an inch. The next time I press the tab key, it jumps to two inches within the document. And the last time, it'll go to four inches. It does that instead of the default, which is just a few spaces. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to set tabs in a Microsoft Word document."
