From its creation in 2003, this social networking site has created 106 million accounts all over the world, and each of these users has the option of uniquely creating personalized pages. The possibilities are endless!I Individuals can find jobs, international friends or pizza on MySpace. Musicians have already tapped into the promotional world of MySpace. Whether the band is big or small, there is a very good chance that one can find them on the site. MySpace has even taken dating to a whole new level. Amazingly, the website is still growing. MySpace opens an average 230,000 new accounts daily! However, for some that may lack the computer know-how, this site may seem a little daunting to begin. Fortunately, some MySpace users are more than happy to share their knowledge. In this free video series, learn some MySpace tricks. Erica Goms is an experienced MySpace user and she demonstrates how to do all sorts of nifty things on MySpace. First, learn how to get started using MySpace and find out how to create a MySpace layout. Goms illustrates how to design a background, change profile picture, add color, add videos and upload videos onto a MySpace profile. Discover how to set a profile to private in MySpace. "Hi, my name is Erica Goms. I live here is Salt Lake City, Utah, and I'll be talking to you guys about MySpace on the internet, and I'm going to actually show you how to get started on My Space. First, we're going to go to the Start menu on the bottom left hand corner, click that. Now we're going to scroll up to Internet Explorer, click on that. And then we are going to type into the search engine "myspace.com". Okay, now if you don't have a MySpace account yet, you cannot log in until you actually sign up, and so, on the right hand side it says "Log in or Sign up." So click on "Sign up". And it'll pull up what information you need to put in. You'll need to put in a valid Email address. So we're just typing that in right now. Then you'll need to type in a password, and then you'll need to type in your name. Your first and last name. We're just going to put a fake in here right now. And then you'll put in where you live, and which state you live in. Okay. And then you'll put in your birthday. And then you'll click on...you can allow people to see your birthday, so if you want to allow them to see your birthday or if not, just unclick that if you don't want them to see it. And then you'll need to type in the security code to make sure that you are a person trying to sign up for MySpace. And then you'll need to click on the terms of service agreement, and then click "sign up". You can upload a photo now if you want, or you can skip it, so we'll just skip this step for now. Okay. And then it'll bring up your Email address, and it'll ask you for your password for your actual email. And then you find friends on your Email address, or you can also skip this step. And so now here is your....here is your new page. And so in order to send friends requests and things like that, you need to verify your Email address. So go down to where it says "Verify your email address", and where it says "Click here" click on that. And then you can request a verification email right here on the bottom left hand corner, and click that. Now we're going to minimize MySpace, and then go back to the right...left hand corner. And go up to Internet Explorer, and we're going to go to your email account. So ours is Gmail, so we're going to type in gmail.com. And then inside your email there should be an email from MySpace confirming that you requested to be...to have a file opened. So here we go. We're going to go into the new mail. And on the new mail it says, "MySpace Email Verification". And then you complete the process, you click on this link right here, and that'll bring you back to your MySpace. And then once you log in again, it'll ask you to log in again, so we're going to log in again. And this is just to verify that you are who you are, and that you can sign in. And then when you type in your password again, and now it says Email address verified, and that's how you get set up on MySpace."
