"Hi, my name is Joe. I'm at Break Time Billiards, in Wilmington, North Carolina, and today, we're going to show you how to make an open bridge. An open bridge is used a whole lot, in Snooker. In Nine Ball, or American Cool, it's not used as much. We still use the closed bridge a lot. One of the advantages of using an open bridge, is that you can see the aiming line a little better, if your head is way down on the stick. Now, the way to make an open bridge, is you spread your fingers, you take your forefinger and bend it forward, and you bring your thumb to your forefinger. Then, all you have to do, is to set it down on the table, put your stick in the V, and you're now ready to shoot with an open bridge, and that's how you do an open bridge."
