"Hi, I'm Joe, and I'm at Breaktime Billiards in Wilmington, North Carolina, and today I'm going to show you how to make a closed bridge. The easy way for me is to spread your hand and to make an "OK" sign. Then take your middle finger and lower it down. And you can then take your stick, put it through the hole that's formed between your forefinger and your middle finger. And then all you have to do is you have to set it on the table and you're ready to shoot with a closed bridge. Now after a while, when you get used to this, you'll no longer have to make the "OK" sign. Instead, you'll just wrap your forefinger around the stick, you'll bring your thumb over to your forefinger. Your fingers will be spread and you'll just automatically bring them down. But in the beginning, sometimes that's hard to do, because your bridge will be like this. And you want to just get used to making it with spread fingers, so that the base will be solid and when you shoot, it will not budge. And that's how you make a closed bridge."
