"Hi, my name's Joe, and I'm at Break Time Billiards, in Wilmington, North Carolina, and today, we're going to talk about how do I move a pool table. Well, it would be a good idea to have some friends because a pool table is very heavy. If you're moving it to another room the odds are you're going to have to take it apart and reassemble it. If you're just moving it you know, from one spot in the room to another you probably can get a couple of dollies, a couple of jacks; jack up each end, put the dollies under and move it. Unfortunately, the doorways normally aren't wide enough to let you do this going from room to room. If it's a three piece slate; my particular table weighs about three hundred, three hundred pounds per piece of slate, so it normally takes two of us to lift that slate, I would take and put the pool table together in another room, I would cover it, and then, I would have my friends help me carry one piece of slate at a time and put it on the table, reassemble, put my cloth on, re-level, and then I'd move my table and I'm set to play some more."
