"One of your friends has just died without a will and you had the opportunity to see what a mess and what hardship was caused in that individual's family when they died without a will. Hello I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how do I make a will? Sadly it is true that none of us like to talk about our own death or making any kind of plans of or pertaining to our own death but more than half of all Americans die without making a will and the sad note is that when those individuals die without a will the state in which those individuals die determines how their assets are going to be distributed to their heirs. So if you want to make sure that your assets and your estate are distributed to those that you want it going to you have to make a will. Now what goes into a will and what constitutes a legal and binding will varies from state to state and this is the type of area that is serious enough and complex enough that we recommend that you seek the services of an attorney that does estate planning and that he guides you in the proper way to make a last will and testament.
