"Regrettably, you have been convicted of a DUI, and your license has been taken away from you. But, you still have obligations to go to school or to work, and you need a temporary license. Hello I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer; "How do I get a restricted license after a DUI conviction?" Well, this is going to vary from state to state, and the first thing I would recommend is that you check with the State Statutes of the state in which you have your Drivers License, for their particular Statutes. You may also consider calling the local courthouse and talking to the Clerk's Office, to ascertain if they can provide you with any assistance, and also, your particular state's Division of Motor Vehicles to find out how that operates. In many states, the ticket that you received for the DUI offense, serves as a temporary license to enable you to go to work, or to school. But you want to check you particular state's Statutes to see if you live in a state that does that. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
