"You receive a call from your neighbor who says their son has been arrested and they want to know what drugs fall under Schedule II. And if you're like most individuals, you have no idea what they mean. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer the question: How do I find out what drugs are in Schedule II? In 1970, Congress authorized the Controlled Substances Act, which list drugs in five separate schedules according to what Congress deemed the severity of their use. And to a large extent, drugs under Schedule II carry criminal penalties. There is a website on the Drug Enforcement Agency's website where there is a complete listing of Schedule II, which include some commonly abused substances such as cocaine, amphetamines, and painkillers. And there are also drugs listed by their chemical names as well as their street names. But you may be prudent to recommend to your neighbor that if they want to know the consequences of whether or not the drug with which possession their son was charged, that they consult a criminal attorney. I'm Robert Todd, thank you for watching."
