"You've decided you want to change your name. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how to change your name. First of all, you could simply just change your name and start writing it differently. But, unfortunately, in this current atmosphere governments and most businesses will not accept that. So, you want to legally change your name. You're going to find that this varies the process and procedure from state to state so you want to check your particular state in which you live, what they require. You can probably do it yourself. In some instances some individuals hire attorneys but this is the type of legal process that you could do by yourself. I would recommend that you go down to your local clerk of courts office, obtain the forms, read the forms, see if you can answer the questions yourself. If not, ask the clerk for some assistance and then fill it out but be sure and fill out each question that is asked and make sure that you do everything that is required in your particular state. That's pretty much how you change your name. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
