"You have found out you have to go to court without a lawyer and you are a little concerned about how to address the Judge because you have never done that before. Hello I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how to address a Judge. Well to begin with when you get to court you may not have to address the Judge because generally you are not going to speak unless the Judge speaks to you first but if you want to know how to address a Judge the first thing to remember is to be polite no matter how you address the Judge. It is perfectly acceptable to call the Judge Judge and it is also acceptable to call the Judge your honor. The main thing to remember is to be polite and also when addressing the Judge do not address the Judge while you are sitting but stand up to address the Judge. When you address the Judge if you are standing let your arms fall to your side also look the Judge in the eyes and let the Judge know that you are addressing the Judge. That's how you address the Judge. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
