"This is Rachel with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about how to treat constipation. Constipation is a very, very common condition and it occurs because of a lack of good bacteria typically. So the first thing that I always do when someone's constipated is I help get them some more good bacteria in their system. This is an example of good bacteria that I use with my patients and its very effective at attaching and growing in the intestine, so that's number 1. If that doesn't do the trick, there's other things that are very important too. One of the things is fiber, so increasing fiber either from something like this of fiber packet or else increasing fiber actually using a combination between fruits and vegetables, brown rice and nuts, things like that. Other things besides fiber are making sure that you're getting enough fluids into your diet every single day plenty of fluids to help create the moisture in the bowels. And the last thing is making sure you're getting enough minerals to help relax the muscles of the intestinal tract. And the very last thing is making sure that you're emotions are in check so that you can release whatever emotions might be happening that are causing you to hold on.
