"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to solve a probability in Excel. Let's open up Excel, by going to the Start button, clicking on All Programs, Microsoft Office. We want to launch Excel. Click on a cell where you want the "answe", the answer to our probability question to appear. I'm just going to kind of put it in the middle here. Now, let's go to Formulas, and we want to find the icon that looks like these books here. It's titled, More Functions. Click on it, and you get a drop down menu. Select Statistical, and we want to do a normal distribution, by clicking on the NormDist function. Let's say the average of our data is six hundred, the standard deviation is seventy-five, and the value that we want to know, is whether or not, what the probability is that somebody will get less, than a four hundred, on their score. For communicative, let's just type true. And say OK. As you can see, this entered a decimal answer into our field. Let's multiply that by one hundred, by clicking on our formula bar, saying equals. Clicking on that field, and doing just times one hundred. Using the values that we entered, we will have a point three eight per cent chance, of scoring less than a four hundred. My name is Dave Andrews, and I just showed you how to use Excel to solve a probability."
