"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to receive notifications when e-mail arrives. To begin, let's launch Outlook by clicking on the start button at the bottom and going up to E-mail. This is our main Outlook window. To receive notifications for our e-mail account, let's go to Tools, and down to Options. Under the Preferences tab, we want to select E-mail Options. Now, click on Advanced E-mail Options. This opens the Advanced E-mail Options window. What we are interested in is when new items arrive in my inbox. The options that you have are to play a sound, briefly change the mouse cursor, show an envelope in the notification area, and also to display a new mail desktop alert. These are checked, but if they were unchecked and you wanted to receive a notification, all you would do is select each one that you wanted to receive. That will cause a notification to appear when a new e-mail arrives. My name is Dave Andrews, and I just showed you how to receive notification when a new e-mail arrives."
