"Hello, my name is Vic Schumacher with HPE Financial Services. I'm an insurance broker representing a variety of different insurance companies. Today we're going to talk about how to get an insurance license. The easiest way to get one is to contact the state where you live, go to the Department of Revenue online, and you can look up exactly what is required. You can get a license as an adjuster, you can get a license as an agency, a variety of different licenses are available. Go online, decide which particular license that you want. They'll be a slight fee involved in this but it's very, very small. Then what you can do is contact a class, go sit in the class for a week, a day, whatever it takes, to understand the type of licenses that you're about to go after. Usually these classes are all state funded and honored by the state that you are in. Once you go through the course, you're prepared to take the exam. State exams for licenses usually last a couple of hours, and many times you do not pass on the first go around, so don't let that get you upset. A state insurance license can offer you a variety of ways to obtain income and also be of good service to people. My name is Vic Schumacher, the company is HPE Financial Services, helping people every day."
