"Hello my name is Vic Schumacher with HPE Financial Services. I'm an insurance broker representing a variety of different insurance companies and health insurance, life insurance and annuities. What we are going to talk about today is how do you become an insurance adjuster. It's the same concept as to how do you get an insurance license. What you should do is go online or go to your state department of revenue and apply for the license. There are courses that you can take that prep you for the license you are about to get hold of. There's a fee involved with obtaining the license, usually a couple of hundred dollars. And there's a fee involved with going through the courses that you need to have in order to understand how to take the test. An adjuster's license is an extremely important thing because home owners are involved by what the person might say, accidents are involved because of the adjustments situations and your background and understanding of what has occurred and the liability is an important factor.
