"There are many of you out there wondering what you can do to become a licensed cosmetologist. Well my name is Sylvia Russell and I'm going to show you how you can become a beautician. Now call it what you will, a beautician, a hairstylist, a cosmetologist, these three names all sum up one thing, the art of doing hair or being in the beauty business. Now listen you got to do some research and you got to figure out if doing hair or being in the beauty business is right for you. Go to your local library or check with some of your friends who may already be licensed cosmetologist. This is a great field for anyone to enter. If you love people and you love to do hair and makeup, this may be the career for you. Check with your state and your local authorities about what type of licenses you may need to become a beautician. Go to your local beauty supply schools, beauty schools and beauty supply stores and they may be able to offer some help for you. Listen I know that you have what it takes, do your research, ask your friends and you may be well on your way to becoming a beauty professional.
