"If you ever wondered how to use your forearm during a massage I can show you the ways that I use. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Now using your forearm is very tricky because you have to practice a lot, it's really tricky you can't really feel with your forearm like you can your fingertips. There's a more touch sensors in your fingers then on your forearm so it takes a little bit of practice. But it's well worth it because it feels great and it's a great way to really manipulate that tissue. So the first way I like to use my forearm massage, of course I'm going to put a little bit of oil on my forearms. So I'm just going to come up through the neck and just gently go down. You are just going to glide your forearms across the tissue. Up like this, down the back. This is called the erector spinae muscle. It's the long muscle that goes up and down the back. So this is a first technique using your forearms. Let me do it one more time. Up the back from the neck all the way down, spreading it laterally and coming up. The next technique you can do using your forearms is doing some scooping, just like your scooping something out. What you are going to do is you are going to rotate your forearm with your hand moving like that and you are going to scoop the tissue. You are going to go from top to bottom, moving your forearm in a circular direction, scooping that tissue really helps increase circulation as you can see the skins is becoming pink. Just scoop it up. Now you can use it in a circular motion. And this is called circular friction. Now this is great to use on the back because the back muscles run vertically from top to bottom. And if you are using your forearm you can generally use a lot more pressure then you can with your hands cause a lot of times the therapist's hands get really tired. So you are going to use your forearm in a circular friction motion and this is spreading those tissues that run vertically. Spreading them open. Just like that. You can go up the back and down the back. And those are three really simple ways to use your forearm during a massage. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae, have a great day."
