"Mansfield Dam Park is near Mansfield Dam in Austin, Texas. It was opened in 2000 and is one of the best places on the lake to launch your boat. The park is located at the main body of Lake Travis, a popular destination in Austin. This central recreation area has something for everybody. Kids can play on the playground, you can grill up some burgers, you can play horseshoes, a fun southern tradition, and you can even play chess. The park offers many amenities for divers. There are dive stairs down into the water, and a lift to make it easier getting from the hillside down to the lake. There are four platforms located underwater, as well as an underwater trail taking divers by sunken boats and lost construction materials. This area is designated just for swimming, and no boats or jet skis are allowed. Hikers will love the scenic trails and bikers will enjoy crossing over the dam itself. You can camp overnight at Mansfield Dam Park, but you will need to make reservations first. There are restrooms, showers and picnic areas available to campers. You can bring your dog to the park, but it must be on a leash and you can't leave it unattended. The fees for entering the park range from three dollars, for cyclists, to twenty dollars if you bring your RV. This is a great spot to spend the day, or spend the night!"
