"I'm Julie Umagaro. I'm marketing manager here at Austin's Children's Museum. We're located in downtown Austin, at the corner of Second and Colorado. Well, we're a hands on museum for children and families. Our kids that come here are usually between the ages of zero and eleven. We see over two hundred thousand children and families each year. And, they enjoy plenty of our hands on exhibits and programs. Well, right over here is our rising star ranch and it's an area exclusively for the toddlers. So the little ones, as you can see it's gated off, so parents don't have to worry about their young child getting mowed over. There's a lot of age appropriate activities within this space. And this is our global city area. There's several different spots in here where children can role play. Different roles that would actually be in a city. There's a diner where they can serve up their parents, or someone, something nice to eat. There's a grocery store, shopping area. A health clinic, a place where you can milk a cow. You can hang like the bat under the Congress Avenue Street Bridge. You can see that later. There's also a place upstairs, where you can control a train that runs along the tracks, and music that goes along with it, and whatnot. There's also an observation deck at the very top. Here you can kind of get an overview of where our feature exhibit would be placed. Right now our exhibit guys are moving out one that was about Nanotechnology. We're getting ready to bring in one about sound. It's called, "Play It By Ear", and it will be here from January nineteen, two thousand eight, through September fourteenth, two thousand eight. And that's about sound, how sound is created, how we receive sound, how we hear, several sound art sculptures that are interactive. You can just experiment with, and create your own sound art. It's going to be a really exciting and fun one for us. So, it'll be in this space."
