"Having a little bit of difficulty with your blood pressure. Maybe you're noticing it higher, your physician is and you want to lower it. My name is Mark Brinson, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Physical Medicine and Human Performance Specialist. Blood pressure can become high for many complicated issues and what I want to do is give you a couple of simple techniques that you can use that are going to help to lower that naturally. One of the best things that you can do is start getting a little bit of an exercise. Now for blood pressure, that's, that's mild exercise. You don't have to do all or nothing with this. A lot of times what got you into the higher blood pressure situation is thinking that things really do have to all or nothing. I have to do things perfectly, I have to do things just right. But you kind of get that out of your head with exercise, it's not like a shot thing or one week thing. It's kind of almost like a lifestyle that you want to create for yourself. So whether this is a simple, relaxing walk in the morning or maybe after dinner which is a great time to do it as a family or it's something that's a little more formal as in a gym setting; that cardio-vascular workout that you get is going to help to naturally increase the elasticity of the vessels throughout the body and it's going to help lower the blood pressure. Also, if you're smoking, one of the best things that you can do is stop. Getting a plenty of water intake. And in addition to that finding the things in your life that are most stressful and trying to find a way to deal with those better and also some relaxation techniques can really help as an overall plan to get your blood pressure down. There's many, many things that you can do. Some which are recommended by your doctor and some that can be recommended by trainers or therapist or natural physicians that can help you along with this path. My name is Mark Brinson, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Physical Medicine and Human Performance Specialist wishing you a happy, healthy and balanced day."
