    "Ah oh, you're pregnant and oops you went to the dentist and had your pictures taken. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida, here to tell you how to know if that radiological test that was done is safe for you and the baby. In general, yes. In the first trimester when we really would not want to use those test, if it happens, the likelihood, if it's enough radiation to cause a problem, you'll likely miscarry. If you had a test in the first trimester, and you don't miscarry, then generally there should be no problem with continuing the pregnancy. Later on in the pregnancy, if your doctor orders a test like this, then it's generally because the benefit of that test and making the diagnosis is more important than the risks associated with having that test done. So, if they order it and you need it, I would get it done and remember, it's being done to prevent something worse from happening. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa telling you how to know if that radiological test that you need done is safe."
