"Are you sexually active? Well duh, you're pregnant. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida telling you how to stay sexually active when you are pregnant. Sex for the most part can be very safe in pregnancy. Occasionally there is going to be times when it is not so safe. Those times in the first trimester or if you are having bleeding, cramping, infection, you want to make sure that you don't have an infection with you and your partner, if one does you want to stay off of sex. As you get further into pregnancy, second trimester you are starting to feel better, that is probably the most active time. You are feeling good, you're not too big, and I recommend it then. In the third trimester or if you have complications like placenta previa, pre-prom which is preterm rupture of membranes, preterm labor or any other time when your doctor tells you not to have sex then I would lay off of it. In the third trimester when you are at the end of your pregnancy, sex also again becomes very important. Why? Well sex can help put you into labor. If your cervix isn't really ready your doctor might tell you to go home and have sex. That helps because semen which is in the sperm causes your uterus to contract. Having the sex could actually put you into labor and that can be a good thing unless of course your doctor tells you not to. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida telling you how to have sex in pregnancy."

on 10/20/2008 Dr. Jill gives good hints on the best times to have sex during pregnancy. Was very annoyed, however, with ads popping up over her face.
