"Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? Or, in other words Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I'm Doctor Jill from Tampa, Florida here to tell you how you can get pregnant with PCOS. PCOS is a dynamic process throughout the womans, that effects you throughout the womans life, including extra hair growth, increased weight, menstrual irregularities, and sometimes difficulty getting pregnant. There are treatments out there available to help you in your process to get pregnant. If you're not trying to get pregnant, birth controls are the way to go, that helps regulate your period and decreases the side effects of PCOS. But, what if you do want to get pregnant. Simple treatments out there include something that you can do which is diet and exercise, that helps bring your weight down and helps regulate your hormones. Other options are a diabetes medication that we use to help regulate your blood sugar, and decrease the amount of hormones that are causing the increase in hair that you're having. These medications called Mcforman help to regulate your system and help ovulation occur better. This medicine, and in conjunction with ovulation stimulants like Clomid, that help you produce more eggs so that increases your chance at getting pregnant. Now of course, when you're using Clomid, there is a risk of having twins about seven percent, but right now we're trying to get pregnant, we'll take twins.
