"Everyone enjoys sex, right? Well, not everyone wants to get pregnant. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida, here to tell you how to avoid getting pregnant. There are many ways to avoid pregnancy, the easiest way is abstinence, that's not always practical, so we're going to start with the easy ones, over the counter methods you can use, and then the ones that your health care provider can write. Over the counter methods are, they're basically in general the condoms, the vaginal condoms, sponges, and you use those with or without contraceptive jelly and those help prevent the sperm from getting to the egg. The kind that would catch the sperm and the sponge would same sort of idea to catch the sperm. If those methods don't work for you, you can go to your health care provider, for them to write for other forms of birth control, these would include things such as the birth control pill, the patch, the ring, the depo provera shot, you can even have forms that are a little more long term like the IUD, one lasts for five years, one lasts for ten years, and then of course, the permanent forms of sterilization which are the birth control, the tubal ligation and the vasectomy for a man. All of these are very effective, you just have to make sure that you use them, so contact your health care provider. I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida, telling you how to avoid to get pregnant."
