"Your pregnant right? Well guess what comes along with pregnancy clumsiness? Well I'm Dr. Jill from Tampa, Florida telling you how to pick up things when you are pregnant. So the placenta has kicked in, you are not walking as straight as you used to, your balance is off, and you dropped something. Well how do I pick this up safely? Well in the beginning obviously you could pick it up however you wanted but as your belly is getting bigger your weight distribution is different. Well that makes you a little off balance so the safest way to pick something up in pregnancy is to make sure you hold on to something whether it is a table or a wall and squat, never go straight down like this, you shouldn't do that anyway pregnant or not. Always squat to pick up the object so use leverage, squat and then straight back up. That's how you should lift things in pregnancy. I'm Dr. Jill Hechtman telling you how to lift things in pregnancy."
