Well if you're going down the block or to your local beach or across the country or across the ocean, couple things you need to keep in mind. Your pet's comfort is paramount. Make sure that whatever your pet is being transported in is safe, is ventilated, and is also going to be comfortable should there be any sort of rain or foul weather. You'll want to make sure your pet has plenty of food, you'll want to make sure your pet is hydrated as well. Now traveling with a pet could be tricky. The first thing you need to do is make sure that you do your homework in advance. Find those hotels and those venues that are pet-friendly. The last thing you want to do is wind up in a hotel that doesn't accept pets. So, get on the internet, do your research in advance. If you're going to be flying or going via train or other motor transportation, you'll want to know exactly what the restrictions are, you'll want to know if there are any restrictions on the size or type of pet that you bring with you, and then of course you're going to want to travel accordingly to the certain restrictions of those means of transportation.
