"Hi everyone, I'm Russ Handler, and you know I spent my summers growing up on the Jersey shore, I think it's one of the nicest places on earth and to this day, I still think it rivals any beach in the world. Just my opinion. Now, let me tell you a couple of essential things that you're going to need when you're planning a trip to the Jersey shore. First of all a good hat to keep that sun off of your head during those summer days, it does get a little hot out there and that sun can be strong there in the north central portion of the east coast so keep that in mind. Also consider a rain bonnet, you never know or a weather, a rain emergency poncho, it's very compact and the key is here getting it in advance of your trip so that you don't spend an arm and a leg on it, chances are it's much cheaper in your local community than it will be on the Jersey shore. A good pair of sneakers for those long walks on that wonderful boardwalk are absolutely essential. When I was growing up I had to have covered shoes, I could not be on the boardwalk in flip flops. A good thing because you don't want splinters. Now, most essential to me is over here, lots and lots of sunscreen for those long hot days on the beach. And bug spray for those evenings. Those flies can be dangerous there in the evenings on that Jersey shore. So enjoy yourself and make sure that you pack appropriately, and get these things in advance so you don't spend a lot of money on them once you get to your destination. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
