"Hi everyone, I'm Russ Handler and you know, tipping in foreign currency can be a bit of a tricky project. Some countries expect it, some countries write in the tip and others, its actually an insult. So while tipping in foreign currency, keep in mind the local venue that you're at and of course the local traditions. For instance, in Europe and throughout Eastern Europe, 10 to 15 percent is generally adequate. In Asia, they tend to, in 85 percent of the cases, they tend to write a service charge into your check. And in South Korea, they don't want a tip at all because it's not expected, it's actually an insult. So when tipping in foreign currency, know where you are and check your check for details. Make sure that a service charge or a tip has not been added and if you're going to tip, do not tip excessively, but definitely 10 to 15 percent minimum. Keep in mind that if you're in Asia, you will definitely not need to present a tip as one is already on the check and in some countries like South Korea, it's not expected at all. So know where you are and what the local culture is. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
