"Hi everyone. I'm Russ Handler, travel expert. You know, planning a trip to Miami and timing it out. Can be a little tricky. There's a lot of factors that go into it. And of course it depends where you're coming from. Even if you're just coming from as close by as Orlando. Or Tallahassee or the Southeast. Or perhaps the Southwest. Doesn't matter, you still need to keep several factors in mind. First of all, there's what we call Snowbird season in Florida. Where the rods get lots heavier during the winter months. As a lot of friends from up North come down and actually stay seasonally in the Miami area. Which makes our highways a little more cluttered. And makes our airports a little more cluttered. The flights tend to run a little bit slower, as a result. So it depends on that factor as well as the season. There is also the Spring break season. A1A and 95 become usually become a lot heavier during Spring break season, around Miami. And there's also of course, hurricane season. You need to factor in the weather conditions. If you're heading from Tallahassee down to Miami. You need to make sure there's not a lot of rain in your way. There's a lot of debilitating rain that could really cause limited visibility and slick roadways and accidents. So when timing your trip, put all those factors together. Spring break, hurricane season, weather in general. And whether or not the Snowbirds are down. And then you are on your way to Miami. Have fun. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
