Homeschool students are encouraged to join a homeschool support group in order to meet other kids and deal with socialization issues. Find friends and other socializing opportunities with help from a homeschool teacher in this free video on education.

Hi, I'm Linda Wooldridge. I'm a home schooling mom and one of the questions I hear all the time from people who aren't home schooling is, what about socialization? The truth of the matter is, we probably spend more time out of the house than we do in the house. It's really more of a struggle to get our school work done than to get out and about. That's because we have so many awesome opportunities available to us and if we get tired of being home, we call up some home school friends and we head to the park. Truly, don't worry about it. If you are just starting your home school journey the most important thing you can do is to get yourself connected with other home schoolers. Find a key group. Find a support group locally. Just make a few home school friends. Hang out at the other places where home schoolers do and once you've done that, you'll find yourself invited on so many outings that you will have a struggle getting your school day in. If your friends aren't currently going to anything, then what you need to do is find out some of the opportunities for your home school community and then drag a few friends along. Because the more fun you have home schooling, the more you'll be getting done and the happier your home schooler will be. I'm Linda Wooldridge, have a great home schooling day.
