"Hi I'm Linda Wooldridge, I'm a home school mom. You know I couldn't home school my kids if I didn't have the support of other home school moms on the same journey that I'm on. Hopefully you live in an area where there is already and existing group. But if you don't have a group of parents that you can conveniently meet with, how do you start a home school support group. Well start off by just getting together with other moms. Meet at a restaurant for coffee, or better yet, meet at a playground. Because lets face it, as home school moms we have our kids with us all the time. Moms can sit on the benches and chat, the kids can go run off some energy on the playground and get to spend some time with their friends. You can talk to those moms about the difficulties that you are having in your home school about a better curricular for you. The sky is the limit. If you find yourself meeting more regularly then start looking into a meeting place and dues. And all the other things that come with a more formal group. But maybe you'll just decide that the playground is the place for you and stay there and keep it really informal. Whichever way works for you get the support of other mothers. Get together, get out into the world. I'm Linda Wooldridge have a great home school day."
