"So you want to learn how to belly dance? Hi, I'm Johanna Krynytzky with Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida. So, why do you want to belly dance? There are many different reasons to belly dance. Number one is fitness. It's a great way to work out and stay in shape, with out having to go to the gym. Gym might not quite be so much fun, I don't like to go work out, but I'd rather go to a dace class. I love the music, I love the costuming, I love moving around. So, a lot of people come to belly dancing purely for fitness reasons. Now, you can also come because you love the music, because it makes you want to move, it makes you want to dance. You can come because you like the costuming. You can come because you're bored and you need something to do. You can come to meet new friends, you can come so you can learn how to dance. Occasionally, people want to be a professional, and you want to learn how to dance professionally, and that's fine too. So, there's a lot of different reasons to come to belly dance class, but, no matter what your reason is for coming, some of the things you learn are self confidence, you learn, you work on your balance, you work on your strength. You work on your self confidence, you work on your presentation to the world. So it's a way to become beautiful and sexy and comfortable in your body.
