"Are you ready to add a fun flare to your belly dance costume? Hi, I'm Johanna Krynytzky, with Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio, in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's fun to add a gypsy element to our belly dance costume. Now, when I say gypsy, I mean no respect to the gypsy people of the world. They all have their own different customs and traditions that vary from region to region, but often in America, we use the term gypsy to refer to a certain look, perhaps more of a fantasy of being more gypsy like and free and fun. If you want to add that element to your belly dancing costume some of the things you can add are a nice big skirt, which is the fun, fun costume element to play with. Of course, we've got a nice fringy shawl scarf. We're talking about lots of layers here. We've got our coin belt on too. Again, assenting accenting the hips. We're belly dancing, right? So, we're trying to separate the upper body from the lower body. And then we've got on our nice belly dancing sleeves, right, gypsy, gypsy style sleeves. We've got lots of jewelry on, nice big necklace, scarf in our hair, and a flower in our hair. And of course, whatever makeup you would use for your belly dancing. Maybe even a little bit bolder. So earrings, jewelry, flared skirt, layers, flared sleeves. All of these will add a more "gypsy", a more fun look to your belly dancing costume. So fun and flirtatious? Perhaps the gypsy look is for you. I'm Johanna, with Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio, helping you spice up your costuming."
